The resumption of agricultural exports to China brings great expectations to domestic enterprises. The reason is that China is currently the largest fruit and vegetable consumption market of Vietnam's fruit and vegetable industry. In 2021, the export turnover of vegetables and fruits to China will reach $1.9 billion, accounting for 53.7% of the export market share in 2021.

In 2021, import and export will increase by more than 100 billion USD

According to the General Statistics Office, Vietnam's import-export turnover in 2021 has increased by more than 100 billion USD compared to 2020. For the seafood industry, Mr. Truong Dinh Hoe, General Secretary of the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), said that seafood exports in 2021 will reach the finish line with an estimated turnover of nearly 9 billion USD. is considered a miracle in the context of extremely difficult times affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, shrimp exports have risen to become Vietnam's strongest commodity with more than 3.8 billion, accounting for about 45% of the total export turnover of seafood.

According to Mr. Hoe, if businesses make good use of the increase in world demand to increase their market share, and at the same time continue to promote processing of value-added products, Vietnam's seafood this year will continue to grow. continue to make a great impression.

Solving many big export problems

Talking to PV Tien Phong, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien said that in 2021, GDP will reach 2.58%, import-export turnover will reach a record of nearly 670 billion USD, of which exports will have a spectacular breakthrough. an increase of over 19% is a mark, a bright spot of the economy in the context of the complicated developments of the COVID-19 epidemic.

According to Mr. Dien, in 2021, we have 35 items with export turnover of "billion USD", an increase of 1 item compared to 2020, in which there are 8 items with export turnover of over 10 billion USD. Notably, the export of processed and manufactured industrial products continues to be the driving force of growth when accounting for more than 86% of the country's export turnover of goods... Besides, with the export of agricultural products. Although accounting for less than 10% of the export value of the whole economy, agriculture is the field that will bring "new impetus" to export growth in 2021.

“We have achieved these results because we have well exploited foreign markets and brought Vietnamese goods deeper into the global production and supply chain. Vietnamese businesses have made good use of opportunities from free trade agreements, especially new-generation agreements such as CPTPP, EVFTA and UKVFTA," said Mr. Dien.
